Exhibitions Sales Manager - Consumer Shows

Reporting into the Group Show Manager for the Baby & Toddler Shows, we are seeking a highly motivated Exhibition Sales Manager with a passion for selling to new prospects and managing key client accounts. For the first year the role will be working on the Baby & Toddler Show portfolio of 5 events per year, as maternity cover, then the role will move to another portfolio of shows at Ocean Media Group.


The Right Candidate:

 

The candidate will have a very strong exhibition sales pedigree with at least three years’ experience in B2C or B2B sales, and a track record of sales performance, particularly face to face, including: objection handling, negotiation, relationship building, problem solving.

They will be a natural leader with strong motivational skills and a desire to exceed targets. This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate to develop their career working on our market-leading consumer shows at a time of financial investment.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Exceeding monthly and show sales targets - ensuring maximum possible delivery against sales targets through telephone, email and face to face sales
  • Developing a strong pipeline of business
  • Working closely with the marketing team to maximise sales opportunities and promotion
  • Attend competitive events and industry trade shows for new business development
  • Exceeding the sales standards around behaviours and productivity
  • Build relationships and contacts with new accounts to create new revenue opportunities
  • Full responsibility of floor plan management
  • Be able to develop and deliver accurate sales updates via weekly sales meetings

Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Maintaining accurate records of sales process activity in Elan and reporting as required
  • Assessing, monitoring and improving sales through the use of KPIs
  • Providing weekly sales reports and pipelines
  • Creating and managing sales budgets and providing accurate forecasts
