Content Assistant; Weddings & Bridal

The Content Assistant will be responsible for writing a set number of SEO-primed articles, up-to-the-minute news stories and engaging social media pieces for Confetti.co.uk, the UK’s leading wedding planning website, Wedding Style Collective, the fastest-growing boutique-finder in the UK and Bridal Buyer, the biggest bridal trade publication for retailers and industry professionals.

As well as articles for both digital and print, you will also work on our podcasts, contribute to our social media channels, compile regular newsletters, produce regular videos and attend and cover a variety of events.

This is a great role for an ambitious individual looking to begin their career in digital journalism and hit the ground running.

This role is based in our Manchester office and will require regular travel to our head office in London. You will report into the Group Content Editor, working alongside the rest of the content team to keep all three sites and their social channels regularly updated.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and publish a set number of keyword focused articles across all three brands
  • Source news stories and pitch engaging social media content ideas
  • Attend and cover relevant events around the country
  • Regularly update all social media platforms
  • Track successes and compile reports through Google Analytics
  • Contributing to the podcasts and regular videos
  • Write articles for the print editions of Bridal Buyer and Confetti
  • Compile regular newsletters
  • Promoting new issues of print publications

Necessary Skills:

  • Familiar with key social media channels (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram)
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics desirable
  • Video editing skills desirable
  • Photoshop skills desirable
  • Wordpress and/or Affino knowledge desirable
  • Work experience at digital publications would be a bonus
